Our goal is to resolves the technical and market barriers that hinder the widespread adoption of solar energy for residential and commercial systems.

We believe the solar industry needs to achieve a 15% annual reduction in end-to-end cycle time by 2013 if it is going to meet the 2017 goals of the California Solar Initiative.

Tangible results
Working together as an industry to address these barriers, we aim to drive actionable solutions that reduce costs, support innovation, and develop a solid foundation for rapid solar industry growth.

• 70+ members across the industry, including a world class Board of Directors with Applied Materials, SunPower Corp., Pacific Gas and Electric Company and Underwriters Laboratories;
• Bay Area Climate Collaborative (BACC) – A broad, regional response to a Global Challenge;
• State-wide partnerships with the California Solar Energy Industry Association and the California Energy Commission;
• Broader national collaboration through the Solar Energy Industry Association, SEPA, Solar America Board of Codes and Standards and SEMI PV Group;
• Collaboration with the Interstate Renewable Energy Council and the US Department of Energy Market Transformation Team.
