Industry consortium, leading professional magazine, and software developer collaborate to produce the solar industry's centralized repository of product specification data.

Berkeley, CA, February 4, 2010SolarTech, SolarPro magazine, and SolarNexus today announced the launch of a new, free resource for solar professionals called SolarHub (www.solarhub.com). The site provides a one-stop shop, aggregating detailed product specifications and allowing users to search listed products by a variety of attributes specific to each product type. Data in the site maintained directly by manufacturers and the SolarHub team.

Accelerating Solar Permitting

SolarTech Launches Solar Industry “Permitting Challenge” to Showcase Integrated Solutions for Online Permit Applications.

Not-for-profit consortium eliminates barriers to solar photovoltaic (PV) market growth.

San Jose, November 19th, 2009: SolarTech (www.solartech.org) convenes an industry wide competition to develop online permitting solutions that will reduce time and eliminate the redundant paperwork associated with the permitting of solar systems. This work is in-line with the consortium’s goal to reduce permitting cycle time by 50% by 2011. SolarTech issued a software interoperability standard at the Solar Power International conference in Anaheim last month for different programs to exchange data using the same protocols.
