The paper identifies challenges within today's solar project development cycle and suggests methods to reduce project cycle times, while creating uniform, efficient and repeatable processes, resulting in better customer service and lower administrative costs of delivering solar energy solutions.

The awards ceremony launched the company’s 501c(3), SolarTech Clean Energy Fund.

SolarTech Launches Solar Industry “Permitting Challenge” to Showcase Integrated Solutions for Online Permit Applications.

Not-for-profit consortium eliminates barriers to solar photovoltaic (PV) market growth.

San Jose, November 19^th, 2009: SolarTech (www.solartech.org) convenes an industry wide competition to develop online permitting solutions that will reduce time and eliminate the redundant paperwork associated with the permitting of solar systems. This work is in-line with the consortium’s goal to reduce permitting cycle time by 50% by 2011. SolarTech issued a software interoperability standard at the Solar Power International conference in Anaheim last month for different programs to exchange data using the same protocols.

SolarTech is proud to have worked with two leading legal firms: Milbank, Tweed, Hadley and McCloy LLP and Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP on implementing standard PPA templates that can substantially reduce the legal review time, minimize associated legal costs and shorten the negotiation timeline.
